Closing the Loop: Our Expanded Rainwater Harvesting Capacity

This season we expanded rainwater harvesting capacity across the estate.

Amitié Fleur farmland at first light

Why water

Tamil Nadu's rainfall arrives in a short, intense window that decides the year: how much water is in the soil when the jasmine pushes new growth, and whether the plantation stays comfortable through the dry stretch.

Estate changes

The expansion extends our harvesting and recharge network across the cultivated blocks.

  • Field and structure run-off capture
  • Recharge to the soil profile
  • Vermicompost and bio-inputs

Closing the loop

Harvested water, vermicompost and Panchagavya, and solar power are the same argument: an estate that supplies its own inputs can promise the same material next year.

Farming the rain is the cheapest insurance a flower estate can buy.

What is next

We will keep expanding our proprietary acreage at a sustainable pace, with harvesting and recharge designed from the first survey.
